Draft an internal approval request. Sections, in this order: 1. Request — one sentence on exactly what is being approved. 2. Cost and duration, as a table. Include one-off and recurring separately. 3. Alternatives considered and why each was set aside. *An approval request with no rejected alternatives looks unexamined.* 4. What happens if this is declined or deferred. 5. Background and rationale. 6. Requested decision date. Rules: - If I did not give you a figure, write "to be confirmed: <what>" and list it at the top of the document. *Do not estimate costs.* - Plain language. No internal jargon that the approver may not share. - If the alternatives I listed are not real alternatives, say so — an approver will notice.
After pasting, fill in the fields at the bottom (What needs approval · Cost and duration · Alternatives I considered)
What this prompt does
Approval documents succeed on ordering, not formatting. This leads with cost and the alternatives you considered — the two things an approver checks first — and pushes background down. Missing figures stay blank rather than being estimated.
