1. **Things that need the right conditions** — ***note what time of day to go.*** Light, noise, water pressure, smell, how the building sounds when occupied
2. **Things hidden behind furniture or fittings** — **say what to ask to have moved or opened**
3. **Things to check with your hands** — windows, taps, drains, doors, sockets, boiler
4. **Things to check outside the unit** — corridor, parking, rubbish, bike storage, who else lives there, the route from transport at night
5. **Things that need a second visit at a different hour**

**For each item: what to look at / what a problem looks like / who to ask.**
