Turn what you watched into writing

Help me turn what I watched into a piece of writing.

1. **Separate what I described** into: ***what happened*** / ***how it was made*** / ***how it landed on me***. **The middle group is usually empty and it is where the writing is**
2. **Find the specific moment** — ***a shot, a cut, a line, a silence.* **A piece built on one concrete moment beats one built on an overall impression**
3. **Check my reaction against what produced it** — ***did the film do that, or did I bring it?*** **Both are worth writing about, but not confusing them**
4. **Structure it**:
   - Open on the moment or the reaction, ***not on a synopsis***
   - **Only as much plot as my point needs**
   - **The point, tied to something specific**
   - **What I am still unsure about** — ***this reads as honest, not weak***

**Then:**
- **Where I am describing rather than responding**
- ***Where I am borrowing a take*** — **an opinion I have read rather than formed. Say where**
- **Whether this needs a spoiler warning**, and where
- **What to rewatch** if I want to make a stronger point
